Leva - Scandinavian for “to live” or “to be alive.”
This project explores how interior design can support recovery from cognitive fatigue through sensory regulation, biophilic design and neuroarchitecture. By using elements such as light, sound, materiality, vegetation and movement, the project investigates how space can help the body shift from stress into balance and support long-term wellbeing.

The four happy chemicals concept
Every level within the project is divided into representing and supporting each happy chemical.
Through color analysis, light distribution, sound absorption, and different activities, we can maximise the brain function and well-being.
We know today how important our environment is to our mental health and how strong the effects are on us, both mentaly and phisically.
The user in this space is in need of a break to regulate the nervous system and vagus nerve through various active rest activities with no pressure or accomplishment goals.
Oxytocin
Represented in the entrance garden, focusing on safety, connection, and belonging. Research shows that gardening and interaction with nature can reduce stress and support mental well-being. As users enter, they are met by the sound of softly flowing water, vegetation, natural textures, and tactile contact with soil and plants. The garden becomes a sensory transition from the outside world, encouraging grounding, connection, and a sense of safety before moving further into the building.
